San Diego Buzz: Chargers end camp and the Padres own Way Back Wednesday
The San Diego Chargers ended training camp on Thursday, one day before they head to Arizona for their second preseason game against the Cardinals. Tom Krasovic and the San Diego Union-Tribune gave their camp awards, with Keenan Allen winning MVP. And wiith his four-year extension, it looks like Philip Rivers will be a Charger for life... And what better way to celebrate that than with a pizza party.
Unless you've been on vacation or just somewhere without a TV, you probably knew that Matt Kemp made history last Friday by being the first Padre to hit for the cycle.
The Padres always kill it when it comes to "Way Back Wednesday," but they really owned these WWF themed intros.
Craig Kimbrel has been solid all year, and fans tweeted FSSD their best #KimbrelPose this week... And even Mud got in the Kimbrel action in the booth.
The San Diego State basketball team has released their nonconference schedule, and at least opponents appear to be ranked in preseason polls.
