Ross added, Tyler cut from practice squad

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Packers have made a change to their practice squad, releasing running back Marc Tyler to make room for cornerback Brandian Ross.

Ross was released from Green Bay’s active roster on Monday in order to clear a spot for linebacker Erik Walden, who had finished serving his one-game suspension.

Ross was on the Packers’ practice squad throughout the entire 2011 season and made it onto the team’s active roster this season for Week 1. However, despite being healthy, Ross was inactive for the game against the 49ers.

Tyler, who played four seasons at USC, was signed by Green Bay as an undrafted free agent in May and earned a spot on the Packers’ practice squad. But in an effort to keep Ross, general manager Ted Thompson had to release one player from the practice squad and chose Tyler.
