Rock on: Fan fashions unique gift to hand over to Jeff Gordon

For much of his final season, Jeff Gordon has received going-away gifts from race track officials around the country. This weekend, he's getting a special one from a big fan, Jeffrey Lee Jones of West Palm Beach, Fla.

Jones, who told FOXSports.com that he has been a huge Gordon fan for more than 20 years, has built 24 solid-body electric guitars in the shape of Gordon's iconic No. 24.

Jones gave one of the instruments to a Gordon crewmember Friday at Homestead-Miami Speedway and he's planning on giving one of the 24 -- this one with a rainbow paint scheme -- to Gordon later this weekend.

"I had just a little guitar that I made, and then that made me go ahead and make a real guitar," said Jones, who said he spends 40 to 50 hours apiece building the musical instruments.

Just the thing to rock out to in his last race, this surely qualifies as one of Gordon's most unique gifts.
