Rob Stephenson named International League Pitcher of the Week

Cincinnati Reds pitching prospect Robert Stephenson was named the International League Pitcher of the Week for the week of July 27 - August 2. 

In two starts for the Louisville Bats, the Reds Triple A affiliate, Stephenson went 1-0 with a 0.64 ERA in 14.0 IP, striking out 15, walking three and allowing just one run. The right hander allowed just six hits over his two starts with the Bats.

Since being called up the Triple A in early July, Stephenson has a  4-0 record in six starts (36.0 IP) with a 2.25 ERA, 36 strikeouts, 13 walks and nine earned runs. 

Stephenson is the No.2 overall prospect in the Reds' system per MLB Pipeline. The Reds prospect is also the No. 43 overall prospect in the MLB and No. 10 overall right-handed pitching prospect. 

Stephenson was the Reds' first round draft pick in 2011, selected with the No. 27 overall pick.
