Ricky Vs. Danica: Michigan Edition

Big news for NASCAR'€™s lovebirds this past weekend at Michigan International Speedway.

Danica Patrick brought the No. 10 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet SS home 13th in Sunday'€™s Quicken Loans 400, her best finish since Martinsville Speedway in the spring and only her third top-15 finish in 15 races.

Meanwhile, fellow NASCAR Sprint Cup Rookie of the Year contender/main squeeze Ricky Stenhouse finished 16th in his No. 17 Zest Ford Fusion.

So for only the fourth time this season, and the first since Texas Motor Speedway in mid-April, Patrick finished ahead of Stenhouse on the track.

You know what that means, don'€™t you?

Danica won't be grilling up livermush as proof of devotion to her man this weekend in the motorcoach compound.

In point of fact, Ricky will be on the hook for dinners this weekend. Expect Danica to get at least one expensive meal out of this turn of affairs in the upcoming journey to the Bay Area, where the Toyota/Save Mart 350 takes place Sunday on the Sonoma road course. We'€™re boldly predicting the red wine will flow freely this weekend, too.

And we figure Ricky'€™s platinum card will see heavy usage this weekend.

So boy and girl, have at it as we head to the Left Coast.
