Report: Chargers sign OT Russell Okung

Two days after releasing former first-round pick D.J. Fluker, the Los Angeles Chargers have reportedly signed tackle Russell Okung. Josina Anderson first tweeted the news Thursday afternoon.

Okung, who played last year with the Denver Broncos after six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, is a one-time Pro Bowler (2012).

The Chargers will look to Okung to improve an offensive line that has struggled in recent years with injuries and giving quarterback Philip Rivers consistent protection.

Alongside the release of Fluker on Tuesday, the Chargers also cut cornerback Brandon Flowers and wide receiver Stevie Johnson.
