Pujols hits 573rd career homer; ties Killebrew for 11th on all-time list

Hammerin' Harmon meet the Machine.

Against the Athletcis on Friday, Albert Pujols smoked an 0-1 pitch to left field in the first inning to give his team an early 2-1 lead. The homer was the slugger's 13th of the season and 573 career dinger in his 16-year career bringing him level with Hall of Famer Harmon Killebrew at 11th on the all-time HR list.

Next up for Pujols is Mark McGwire and his 583 career home runs at No. 10 on the list. Oddly enough, Pujols' 128 home runs as an Angel puts him at No. 11 on the team's all-time home run list as well.
