Pujols' 563 homer brings him level with Reggie Jackson on all-time list

Before No. 563, there was 0-26.

Mired in the longest slump of his big league career, Albert Pujols came into Sunday hitless in his last six games. But with one swing of the bat, the Angels' slugger swatted away 0-26 with No. 563.

The two-run home run in the bottom of the first tied Pujols with Reggie Jackson for 13th on the all-time HRs list. Jackson played five seasons for the then California Angels hitting 87 home runs in his time with the Halos.

In his fifth season with the Angels, Pujols has hit 117 home runs and counting including 40 last season. Former Oriole and Texas Ranger Rafael Palmiero is next on the all-time list with 569 home runs.

By the way, Pujols' last hit before going 0-26? A two-run homer in the first inning against Minnesota on Apr. 17.
