Pietrangelo lone Blues representative on Team Canada roster

St. Louis Blues defenseman Alex Pietrangelo was among the final seven players added to Canada's World Cup of Hockey roster on Friday.

The most notable player to fail to make the cut was Montreal defenseman P.K. Subban as all eight teams competing in the tournament completed their 23-player rosters on Friday.

Rounding out the forward spots were Colorado's Matt Duchene, Philadelphia's Claude Giroux, Boston's Brad Marchand and San Jose's Joe Thornton. Thornton has helped the San Jose Sharks make their first Stanley Cup Final appearance. Thornton will be joined by Sharks defenseman Brent Burns. Also selected to represent Canada was Los Angeles defenseman Jake Muzzin.

The tournament will be held in Toronto, starting in September.
