Peraza records first hit with Reds in first at-bat on first pitch

In his first game with the Cincinnati Reds, top prospect Jose Peraza made his presence felt immediately.

Starting in center field and hitting second in the order, the 22-year-old hit a sharp liner to left in his first big league at bat this season. He didn't want to wait long either, as the base knock came on Aaron Nola's first pitch to him.

With encouraging numbers in Triple-A Louisville, Peraza's future is certainly bright with Cincinnati.

Reds fans are getting a glimpse of Peraza this weekend due to Billy Hamilton's placement on the bereavement list.
