Patriots take WR Boyce from TCU

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- The New England Patriots have selected TCU wide receiver Josh Boyce with the fifth pick of the fourth round of the NFL draft on Saturday.

The Patriots acquired the 102nd overall pick in a trade Thursday with Minnesota, shipping their first-rounder to the Vikings for second-, third-, fourth- and seventh-round draft choices.

Boyce is the second wide receiver taken in five picks for New England, which used their second-round selection Friday on Aaron Dobson of Marshall.

Both rookies will be competing for spots in a new-look receiving corps.

The Patriots already added veterans Danny Amendola, Donald Jones and Michael Jenkins at wide receiver. New England let Wes Welker leave via free agency and Brandon Lloyd was released.
