Patrick, Bowyer among those going pink at Charlotte Motor Speedway
You'll see a lot of pink at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend ... both on the track and on drivers and cars.
Danica Patrick's No. 10 is getting a new look for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She'll be running a pink paint scheme at Charlotte Motor Speedway, as well as at Talladega and Martinsville.
"My friend had a double mastectomy as a preemptive strike because she actually tested positive for the breast cancer gene," said Patrick.
"She went through everything and hopefully avoided it, but it hit close to home. I think far too many people know someone affected by this disease.
"We wanted to do something a little different this year and something to honor people who have fought the disease."
Patrick will also be sporting pink gloves, shoes and a visor.
But Danica's not the only one helping to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Like last week, Clint Bowyer will once again be running a special paint scheme that honors someone currently battling or who has survived breast cancer.
Clint Bowyer is driving the No. 15 Pink Lemonade 5-hour ENERGY Benefiting Living Beyond Breast Cancer Toyota this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
