Packers sign second-round pick Rollins, release Robinson

The Green Bay Packers now have six of their eight draft picks under contract after signing second-round selection Quinten Rollins. That leaves only first-round pick Damarious Randall and third-rounder Ty Montgomery without their deals officially inked.

Additionally, the tryout for interior offensive lineman Andy Phillips went well enough during rookie orientation camp that the Packers signed him.

Phillips started 43 games at Central Michigan, with 38 of them at left guard and five at center. He was a first-team All-Mid-American Conference selection as a senior.

Phillips took the roster spot of defensive lineman Luther Robinson, who was released after one season in Green Bay. Robinson began as a tryout invite in 2014 before beginning the season on the practice squad and ultimately joining the active roster Oct. 2. Robinson appeared in five games and played 66 snaps before suffering a calf injury in practice. He was placed on injured reserve Dec. 8.
