Packers name Blasko, McGarigle, Raih to coaching staff
The Green Bay Packers named Jeff Blasko assistant offensive line coach, Tim McGarigle defensive quality control coach and David Raih offensive perimeter coach on Monday.
Blasko, who will work with head offensive line coach James Campen, was with the Packers in 2016 as a coaching administrator. He previously served in the college ranks as a tight ends coach, quarterbacks coach and offensive quality control coach at the University of Pennsylvania, Kansas and Florida.
McGarigle will work in his new position with defensive coordinator Dom Capers. He coached linebackers at the collegiate level for the University of Illinois and Western Michigan. McGarigle was a seventh-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams and had a short career as a player.
Raih is a familiar name in the Packers organization, as he has coached under Mike McCarthy since 2014. He was the Green Bay coaching administrator for two seasons before being promoted to the assistant offensive line coaching position last year.
