Packers hit The After Party

Sunday night on The After Party with Jay Glazer, Jay interviewed four keys on the Packers' Super Bowl season.
Some highlights:
Jay Glazer: What did your dad, your uncle, somebody, tell you going into this game? Give me the advice that they told you when you're one step away from something that so many other pros will never get the chance to go in.
Clay Matthews: Jay, I'm not going to lie to you, they didn't give me much advice, alright. They didn't... you know, the great thing about them is they aren't those overbearing fathers who'd tell me I gotta do this and that. Excuse me, father and uncle. [both laugh] ... you know, I learned it the hard way. Fortunately right now, it's winning games. Obviously, I'll be in talks with them. But 38 years of football between them and only one Super Bowl loss to account for, and here I am in my second year, I make it to the Super Bowl.
Jay Glazer: Unbelievable. And you know as well as I do... you know how lucky and how rare something like this can be. But this season, man you just played all year long, like it was your last play. You knocked out two quarterbacks this year, constantly getting after it, you never tired.
...
Jay Glazer: You've said all year long, it just kills you that you lost that Super Bowl and you wanted another shot... so now that you're finally going to go there, is there a different feeling this time than last time you went?
Charles Woodson: You know what, I felt confident that last time. You know, but I live in the present now. This team, we feel like we have all the right people in the right places. We had a tough road to this point, three away games in three different stadiums, and we feel good about the way that we're performing right now, so I feel about as good as any point in my career.
...
Jay Glazer: Other teams, when they lose as many guys as you did, they shut it down, use it as excuses. You guys seemed to get stronger as the year went on. A lot of that is a testament to you. How do you keep that from getting into guy's minds, to use that as an excuse?
Mike McCarthy: Well, we never made excuses, we never really addressed it... it was the way the cards were dealt. And I think it's a testament to the players. ... We've had a lot of young guys step up, play big. And more importantly, you're always trying to prove as a football team, as you're going down the stretch, you want to peak in December or January. We've done that. We're playing our best football -- that's why we're going to Dallas.
...
Jay Glazer: You know, I was around in New York when the Giants won the Super Bowl. A New York party is one thing, but what's the Green Bay party going to be like? [Greg Jennings laughs] A lot of beer, a lot of brats, a lot of cellulite? What's going on with this party?
Greg Jennings: There's definitely going to be a lot of beer, and a lot of cheese. Austin Straubel's gonna be jumpin'. That's the spot, that's the after party in Green Bay...
Jay Glazer: You're gonna party at the airport? Really?
Greg Jennings: Austin Straubel Airport. I guarantee it's gonna be the hottest spot in Green Bay once we touch down.
