Pacers assign rookie Niang to Mad Ants
Indiana Pacers veterans will have to find someone new to make donut runs, at least for now. Georges Niang is headed to Fort Wayne.
The Pacers announced Tuesday they have assigned the rookie forward to the Mad Ants, their affiliate in the NBA's Development League.
Niang, who was averaging 0.8 points and 1.0 rebounds over 13 games this season, recently made a memorable trip to a donut store in Portland as part of his rookie responsibilities.
