Owings stays hot, Walker hit around in D-backs comeback win
MESA, Ariz. -- Taijuan Walker suffered his worst outing this spring, Chris Owings continued to hit and the Diamondbacks scored nine runs in the final three innings to beat the A's 10-6 Monday night at Hohokam Stadium.
Walker gave up four runs on six hit in 4 1/2 innings. The right-hander, Arizona's biggest offseason addition, did not allow a run in his first three starts this spring but has given up seven runs the past two outings in 8 2/3 innings combined.
Owings, playing right field for the second time this month, went 2 for 3 with a triple to raise his spring average to .395.
Kevin Cron hit his first home run in the seventh inning to kick start the D-backs' rally from a four-run deficit.
