OSU assistant to coach LBs at Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Ohio State assistant football coach Taver Johnson has been hired to coach the linebackers at Arkansas.

Razorbacks coach Bobby Petrino announced the move Sunday and said Johnson would be an assistant head coach.

Johnson spent five seasons with Ohio State, which compiled a 50-15 record during his tenure and won four Big Ten titles. Ohio State finished with a 12-1 record in 2010 and a victory in the Sugar Bowl.

Johnson briefly served as the defensive line coach with the Oakland Raiders after five years at Miami (Ohio), and he spent a year with the Cleveland Browns as special teams coach.
