Northern Arizona tops Texas-Pan American

-- Cameron Jones scored a season-high 27 points and Northern Arizona extended its longest winning streak in five seasons with a 68-55 victory over Texas-Pan American on Wednesday night.

Jones scored 17 points in the final 17 minutes as the Lumberjacks (7-2) broke open a close game in the second half and cruised to their seventh straight win. It's Northern Arizona's longest winning streak since notching 10 in a row during the 2005-06 season.

Gabe Rogers scored eight points -- all in the second half -- and Shane Johannsen grabbed 10 rebounds for Northern Arizona, which held a 40-28 rebounding advantage.

Perry Petty scored 13 points for the Broncs (3-7), who fell to 0-4 all time against Northern Arizona.
