Nelson Cruz's Red Wings top Eddie Rosario's Twins in scrimmage

A Rochester Red Wings team led by designated hitter Nelson Cruz topped a Minnesota Twins team led by outfielder Eddie Rosario on Monday during an exhibition game in Fort Myers, Florida.



Max Kepler gave Rosario's Twins a two-run lead in the first inning with a two-run home run, but Cruz's Red Wings tied it up in the fifth thanks to Ronaldo Torreyes' RBI double and Jake Cave's solo home run.

Wynston Sawyer hit an RBI double and LaMonte Wade scored three with a triple in the sixth to break the tie and push the Red Wings' lead to three runs.

Jake Odorizzi got the start for the Twins, allowing just one hit and two walks in four innings.

Preston Guilmet started for Rochester, allowing three hits, two walks and two earned runs in one inning.

Jorge Alcala, Ryan Mason, Dario Alvarez and Jeff Ames also pitched for the Twins.

Mike Morin, Trevor May, Trevor Hildenberger, Cody Stashak, Anthony Marzi, Jovani Moran and Williams Ramirez also pitched for the Red Wings.

The Twins announced after the game that Guilmet and Morin have been assigned to minor-league camp.
