NAU looks to slow Montana State's Prukop on Family Weekend

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- Northern Arizona (2-2, 0-1 Big Sky Conference) looks to get back in the win column as it hosts 11th-ranked Montana State (2-1, 1-0) on Family Weekend at the Walkup Skydome. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m., and the game can be seen on FOX Sports Arizona Plus.

Montana State is the conference's top scoring team with an average of 46.7 points per game and is led by quarterback Dakota Prukop, who ranks second in the country in total offense with 416.7 yards per game (949 passing yards and 301 rushing yards in three games). Prukop passed for 399 yards and three touchdowns in last week's 45-28 win over Cal Poly.

The Lumberjacks are coming off a 23-14 loss at Montana. Freshman Case Cookus has completed 51 of 77 passes for 905 yards and eight TDs in four starts.

NAU and Montana State did not face each other last season. The Bobcats defeated the Lumberjacks 36-7 in 2013 in Bozeman. The last time the teams played in Flagstaff was 2010 and resulted in a 34-7 NAU victory.
