NAU basketball welcomes Southern Utah in home finale

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. -- The Northern Arizona men's basketball team will host Southern Utah at 2 p.m. on Saturday in its home finale. The game will be televised by FOX Sports Arizona.

The young Lumberjacks (5-21, 3-12 Big Sky) have struggled while employing a predominately freshman roster, but they have won two of their last three home games.

 NAU defeated Southern Utah 73-63 last month in Cedar City, getting 18 points from freshman Marcus DeBerry and double-doubles from junior Kris Yanku (15 points, 11 rebounds) and Felix Rivera-Vega (10 points, 11 rebounds). Yanku is averaging 17 points a game over his last five outings.

Southern Utah (4-21, 2-13 Big Sky) is in the midst of a 10-game losing streak .
