Murphy off the DL, Sellers called up
CLEVELAND -- Indians outfielder David Murphy has been activated from the disabled list in time for Friday night's opener of a three-game series against the White Sox.
Murphy, who has been on the 15-day DL with a strained right oblique since Aug. 10, is batting .262 with 21 doubles, seven home runs and 55 RBI. He has spent the last two days rehabbing with Columbus, where he went 1 for 6.
The Indians also recalled infielder Justin Sellers, who has spent most of the year in Columbus where he batted .254 with 40 RBI in 102 games. This is his third stint with the team and first since May 27.
With the roster moves, the roster stands at 34 players.
