MMA fighter breaks leg against opponent, only gets him off after pointing to appendage
The main event at M-1 Challenge 61 (Battle of Narts) in Russia ended this past weekend when Marcin Tybura checked an Ante Delija kick against his knee/shin, snapping Delija's lower leg.
Actually, the fight didn't end there. Delija attempted to plant his broken leg, which collapsed, then hit the mat flat on his back. The referee did not immediately call the fight as both he and Tybura were perhaps unaware of what had happened, so Tybura straddled his fallen opponent and landed a couple blows until Delija was able to convey that his lower leg was indeed shattered.
It appears that Tybura did not actually process the information until Delija pointed to his leg, finally prompting Tybura to pop up with an "Oh, s***" expression.
