Minnesota Wild recall forward Kurtis Gabriel
The Minnesota Wild recalled forward Kurtis Gabriel from the AHL on Thursday, a sign that they may be expecting some hostility from the division-rival Calgary Flames Friday night.
Star forward Johnny Gaudreau suffered a fractured finger the last time the two teams met, and hasn't played since.
Gabriel led the Iowa Wild with 127 penalty minutes last season, and currently has 35 in 20 games, as well as four points.
A third-round pick of the Wild in 2013, Gabriel has yet to appear in a game for Minnesota this season.
