Milwaukee Bucks getting offensive in February

The Milwaukee Bucks have been a bit on a scoring roll lately.

After going through a stretch in mid-to-late January when the Bucks had trouble reaching 100 points, the team has topped the century mark in five of the last six games, averaging 112.3 points over that span.

Yes, that was helped in part by a 137-point explosion in Phoenix, but the Bucks also had 114 or more points in three of the games.

Thus far in February, Milwaukee is fourth in the NBA in offensive rating (points per 100 possessions) at, ironically, 112.3. The top three teams are Cleveland (121.2), Golden State (117.7) and Washington (112.6).

What might be surprising is who is leading the way, as veterans Jason Terry and Greg Monroe head the list for individual offensive ratings in February.

By the way, Brooklyn, Milwaukee's opponent Wednesday, is last in the NBA with a 96.7 offensive rating in February.

At this point it would seem wise to also mention that the Bucks have beaten the Nets seven straight times, easily the longest active winning streak for Milwaukee (next best: 3 vs. Chicago and Phoenix).

Other notes:

-- Brooklyn is first in the NBA in bench points, with an average of 44.3 per game. Milwaukee is third, at 38.7.

-- Greg Monroe has 12 double-doubles off the bench. Only Memphis Zach Randolph (14) has more for a non-starter.
