Miller Park, Brewers serve up get-your-own beer

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Milwaukee Brewers have become the first National League team to serve up get-your-own-beer.

Two self-serve beer dispensers were unveiled on the third base concourse at Miller Park before Thursday night's game against the St. Louis Cardinals. Fans must prove their age at a concession stand to purchase a vending card that can pour up to 24 ounces into a cup.

There is a maximum of two drinks per person per transaction. The beers sold include Miller Lite, Miller High Life, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy and Redd's Apple Ale.

The Brewers are the second team in the majors to have self-serve beer. The machines were first unveiled at Target Field, home of the American League's Minnesota Twins, in time for the All-Star Game in July.
