Miller out, Guiton to start for Ohio State

BERKELEY, California - Ohio State senior quarterback Kenny Guiton will make his first career start tonight when No. 3 Ohio State plays at Cal.
Starter Braxton Miller was in and out of practice this week after spraining the MCL in his left knee last week. Guiton came in and saw the most extended action of his career, throwing 2 touchdown passes and running for another.
Miller, the reigning Big Ten Player of the Year, was injured on Ohio State's first drive last week, just seven snaps into what became a 42-7 victory over San Diego State.
Guiton has played in both games this season and 10 in his career. He was 19 of 28 passing last week for 152 yards; he'd thrown 25 total passes in his career before last week.
Miller came out in shorts and a t-shirt and made some throws on the Memorial Stadium field on Saturday afternoon, but he was not in uniform when the Buckeyes' other three quarterbacks and full complement of skill-position players began warming up.
