Miller back by Christmas?

If you were in your seat at AmericanAirlines Arena about 45 minutes before Wednesday's game against Cleveland, you might have seen Heat forward Mike Miller put on one of the best shooting exhibitions ever in downtown Miami.
Miller, who underwent surgery on his right thumb in October, was working on the end of the court where the Heat's bench is, and the dude was raining in three-pointers from everywhere.
Miller might have taken, I don't know, 100 shots, while I was watching. I estimated he made 80 percent. A colleague, Jonathan Zaslow of WAXY (790-AM), said Miller made 90 percent. In any case, the dude was absolutely on fire. The thumb seemed OK.
So, here's the deal: Miller is going to see a doctor Thursday. Now, take this next part with a grain of salt because Miller is incredibly optimistic. But when I talked with Miller after Tuesday's practice he said there's a chance he's back on the court in the next two weeks. Actually, he said he hopes to be back "sooner than later."
What's sooner?
"Sooner would be hopefully sometime before Christmas," he said.
Miller's addition would be huge for a team that's rolling even though it's missing its top two reserves
