Michigan lands a three-star defensive tackle

Willie Henry, a three-star defensive tackle from Cleveland, became Michigan's 24th verbal commitment  Monday, according to Scout.com.

Henry (6-foot-3, 273 pounds) gives coach Brady Hoke nine prospects from the state of Ohio.

He's also the Wolverines' first commitment in more than a month. Most of the class committed extremely early, before Hoke had even coached a game at U-M.

Scout.com continues to rank Michigan's class No. 4 in the nation behind Texas, Alabama and Ohio State.

Meanwhile, three of the Wolverines' other final targets recently made verbal commitments elsewhere.

Four-star cornerback Armani Reeves (West Roxbury, Mass.) is opting for Ohio State while three-star tight end Sam Grant (Lakewood, Ohio) picked Oklahoma, and three-star offensive lineman Alex Kozan (Highlands Ranch, Calif.) chose Iowa.

High school players can begin signing official letters-of-intent on Wednesday.
