Miami DE Ricardo Williams decides to transfer

Defensive end Ricardo Williams has opted to leave the University of Miami, school spokesman Chris Yandle confirmed Wednesday morning.

Williams, a native of Homestead, was a Scout.com three-star prospect but struggled to find playing time at Miami. After taking a redshirt in 2011, he played in just one game last season, against North Carolina, but did not record a tackle.

It’s not clear where Williams intends to transfer as he continues his college football career.
