Mercury cut 2 players to finalize roster
The Phoenix Mercury on Wednesday finalized their roster for the start of the 2014 season.
Needing to trim their roster by two players, the Mercury waived center Krystal Thomas and guard Briana Gilbreath-Butler.
The team's 11-player roster for the season opener on Saturday is as follows:
