Robert Fish

Position:

Pitcher
Height: 6-2
Weight: 230
Bat/Throw: L/L
Hometown: Montclair, Calif.
Experience: Rookie

2011 in review: The hard-throwing lefty was 1-0 with two saves and a 3.26 ERA in 30 1/3 innings at Double-A Arkansas, striking out 41 batters and walking 18. The Braves selected him in the Rule 5 Draft in December.

Career highlight: Fish was a sixth-round draft pick by the Angels in 2006 and spent his career with them until being selected by the Yankees in the 2010 Rule 5 Draft.

Outlook: The Braves think he could make the club, giving them three left-handers in the bullpen with Eric O’Flaherty and Jonny Venters. He pitched a scoreless inning in his first spring appearance on March 5.

You should know: Fish went to spring training with the Yankees last year, but was released and the Royals picked him up on waivers. He spent the entire season in the minors after posting a 10.57 ERA with both teams in the spring.
