Matt Schaub has heard enough, deactivates his Twitter account
By Ross Jones, FOXSports.com A fourth-quarter meltdown and a viral video on YouTube of a raging Texans fan burning a Matt Schaub jersey has likely caused the tenth-year quarterback to shut down his Twitter account. Schaub has thrown a pick-six in three consecutive games and has become very unpopular with the hometown fan base. Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman intercepted Schaub in the fourth quarter with a little over two minutes remaining in Sunday’s game. Sherman’s score tied the game and helped force overtime. The Seahawks would go on to win 23-20. It doesn’t take an expert to know that Twitter can be an ugly place. NFL fans’ passion for the game burns bright and when a player makes a mistake or doesn’t have a huge game, the social media platform allows them to vent. Apparently, Schaub didn’t want to hear any more of it. Questions? Comments? Send them to lacesoutmail@gmail.com and we might respond in our weekly mailbag!
