Mater Dei quarterback JT Daniels named Gatorade National Player of the Year

JT Daniels put a very nice bow on his junior season.

The talented quarterback for Mater Dei was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year earlier this week.

Daniels passed for 4,123 yards and 52 touchdowns en route to a 15-0 season and state championship win over De La Salle.

Daniels, who's verbally committed to USC, also rushed for 556 yards and 9 scores.

Best news for Monarchs and coach Bruce Rollinson? Daniels will be back for one more season!
