Magic rookie Aaron Gordon to host season-long SiriusXM NBA radio show
Orlando Magic rookie forward Aaron Gordon has been selected to host the second season of Year One, the SiriusXM satellite radio program which gives listeners an inside look at the life of an NBA rookie.
Year One with Aaron Gordon will debut Thursday at 6 p.m. and air weekly on SiriusXM NBA Radio throughout the 2014-15 season. SiriusXM NBA Radio is available to subscribers on satellite radios (XM channel 86, Sirius channel 207), on the SiriusXM App and at SiriusXM.com.
The program will have Gordon sharing with co-host Justin Termine his perspective as he makes his way through the season, discussing the adjustment from college to the pros, excitement of travel, relationships with teammates, getting to know his new city and much more.
"Hosting my own SiriusXM show is an honor and something that makes my first NBA season even more special." Gordon said. "This year will be full of a lot of firsts and I can't wait to give the fans a behind-the-scenes look at my new world both on and off the court. I have some pretty high goals set for myself and my team this year and I'm excited to take the listeners along for the ride."
Last year's inaugural season of Year One featured Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum.
Gordon was selected by the Magic with the fourth pick in the draft after his one college season at Arizona. He had 11 points and three rebounds in his regular-season debut Tuesday night as the Magic lost 101-84 at New Orleans.
