Magic hosts 'Pink in the Paint Night' presented by Florida Hospital

Orlando, Fla. (October 8, 2015) -- The Orlando Magic and Florida Hospital have teamed up for the third consecutive year to host Pink in the Paint Breast Cancer Awareness Night on October 13 at the Magic vs. Miami matchup, tip-off set for 7:00 p.m. Highlights of the evening include Central Florida breast cancer survivors to be honored as Magic VIPs for the night and pink, light-up 'bam bam' sticks will be distributed to the first 5,000 fans. FanFest pregame outside on Church Street will feature the Florida Hospital Pink Army distributing information on breast cancer prevention, additional local breast cancer awareness groups' information tables and a charity dunking booth. The Magic are also encouraging fans to wear pink to the game.

The VIP honorees of the game, Central Florida breast cancer survivors Melanie Finley, Claudia Simpson, Vanessa Echols, LaKeisha Brown-Scott and Sheila McThenia will take part in the high-five lineup with the players during introductions. They will also receive courtside tickets, a special suite for their families, personalized Magic shirts and team autographed basketballs. In addition, the women will be honored during the first quarter break at center court.

Fans can also take advantage of a special Magic ticket offer that will donate money back to the Florida Hospital Breast Cancer Care Fund, which provides free mammograms to underserved women in Central Florida. When fans buy tickets online using the special promo code "PINK," $5 will be donated to the Florida Hospital Breast Cancer Care Fund. Tickets start at $20 and those purchases will include a commemorative Pink in the Paint Rally Towel. Also, fans will have the opportunity to give back during the game by donating $1 to their purchase at any Orlando Magic retail location in the Amway Center as well 45 concession stand areas to help support the Florida Hospital Breast Cancer Care Fund.
