Louisiana Tech routs Central Arkansas 94-57
CONWAY, Ark. (AP) -- Raheem Appleby scored a game-high 21 points and Kenyon McNeail added 18 points as Louisiana Tech powered past Central Arkansas 94-57 on Wednesday night.
McNeail, who is from Conway, had a great game in his home town, hitting 3 of 5 3-pointers and grabbing four of Louisiana Tech's 15 steals. The Bulldogs (2-1) scored 34 points off turnovers.
DeShone McClure led the Bears (1-2) with 19 points and Jalen Jackson 12. McClure hit his first shot and staked Central Arkansas to a 2-0 lead, but Louisiana Tech ripped off an 18-2 run -- with back-to-back 3-pointers by McNeail -- in the next six minutes and cruised from there, leading 47-19 by halftime.
Appleby scored 11 of his 21 in the first half and McNeail 10. The Bulldogs hit 21 of 26 from the free throw line as Central Arkansas was whistled for 21 fouls.
