Listen: Rapper E-40 performs Golden State Warriors playoffs anthem (Yup)
The Oracle Arena's DJ can add another track for Game 1 of the Golden State Warriors' second-round playoff matchup on Sunday against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Bay Area native rapper E-40 (real name Earl Stevens) remixed his own song "Choices (Yup)," making a Warriors edition with lyrics about Stephen Curry, Steve Kerr and even Andrew Bogut, despite the difficulty of rhyming anything with Bogut.
Everybody say, "Warrrrriooooors, Warrrrrrriooooors!"
Rappers remixing songs for their favorite teams is nothing new. In the NBA's Western Conference alone, Wiz Khalifa, Game and Snoop Dogg did "Purp and Yellow" for the Lakers and Tyga did "Lob City" for the Clippers.
Which begs the question: When will Drake do a Raptors anthem? Maybe next year, if he isn't claiming the Cavs by then.
