LISTEN: 7-year-old calls 911 after accidentally touching Elf on the Shelf
We're taking a break from sports to present you with a very important holiday story.
If you have young kids in your life and you celebrate Christmas, chances are you know the anarchy caused this time of year by the Elf on the Shelf.
You have to move the thing around (errr, the elf moves around) every night and you have to convince the kids that the Elf can never, ever be touched. The little doll flat-out takes over the kids' lives and the holiday season.
If you think we're exaggerating, we present the case of this adorable 7-year-old girl from Old Bridge, N.J.
Isabelle LaPeruta was so distraught recently when she accidentally touched her Elf on the Shelf after it had fallen on the floor that she called 911 in a panic.
Isabelle said she was actually trying to call her dad to confess about breaking the "no-touching" rule, so she begged the 911 operator not to sends the cops to her house.
However, once 911 is called by a child, the cops need to check out what happened. When they arrived to Isabelle's house, they found her distraught and crying.
