Lions claim OT Michael Ola off waivers from Chargers
ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -- The Detroit Lions have claimed offensive tackle Michael Ola off waivers from the San Diego Chargers and released guard Taylor Boggs.
Detroit, coming off its first win of the year, made the moves Wednesday as it prepared to play the Minnesota Vikings.
The 6-foot-4, 312-pound Ola played in two games for the Chargers and started 12 last year for the Chicago Bears.
Boggs played in two games this year. He played in a total of five games the previous two seasons for the Bears.
