Lightning to open training camp with 62 players

The Tampa Bay Lightning will start training camp on Wednesday at the Tampa Bay Times Forum, the team announced Friday.

In addition to the players currently participating in the rookie tournament taking place in Coral Springs, the team will have 38 other players for a total of 62 on hand.

Stars Martin St. Louis and Steven Stamkos will be on hand for camp, as well as Valterri Filppula, the team's big free-agent signee.

The 62 players in camp will be divided into three groups for practice named after assistant coaches -- Group Bowness, Group Gwozdecky and Group Thomas.
