LeBron James to the ... Dallas Cowboys?

It's been one day since we learned LeBron James has decided to opt out of the final year of his contract with the Miami Heat, and the speculation of where he will play next already has entered warp speed.

(The lack-of-loyalty bashing has started, too.)

There are definitely frontrunners in the race to land LeBron. Cleveland, Houston and of course Miami all are in the discussion.

But what about the Dallas Cowboys?

That's exactly what its Twitter account suggested Tuesday afternoon.

True, it almost certainly never would happen, but it's fun to think "what if." And this isn't the first time the possibility of LeBron playing for the NFL franchise has come up.

During an interview in February, when asked by a reporter if he would sign with Dallas this summer [meaning the Mavericks]," James quipped "Think the Dallas Cowboys will take me?"

Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant has given his approval, saying James would excel in the NFL, and James has said he would like to play in a game "before it's over."

The NFL even gave him its Twitter blessing.

So, you're saying there's a chance!

But the Cowboys aren't the only non-NBA team offering the superstar a roster spot.

Hockey teams are throwing their names into the rink.

As well the US Soccer team (Hey! Don't you have a game to worry about Thursday?)

Whatever James decides, it sure is going to be fun watching his "decision" unfold!
