LeBron a no-show for night session of Nike skills camp
LAS VEGAS -- There were three sessions at the LeBron James Nike Skills Academy Thursday -- and LeBron James attended two of the three.
His absence at the night session came a few hours after he showed up with close friend, teammate the last four seasons and fellow free agent Dwyane Wade.
James and Wade left the afternoon session of the basketball camp separately. James left out of a side door after sharing hugs and handshakes with camp staff. Wade exited through another door in his own car 10 minutes later.
Neither James nor anyone from his camp has said anything on record about his free agency or his plans. He's looked relaxed here except when he waved off a group of bystanders to stop taking cell phone pictures of him and Wade Thursday afternoon.
James' absence from Thursday's final session will fuel speculation that he's either bunkered down or has left Las Vegas. There's been a lot of guessing on James' plans already over the last week and none of it has been right.
Meanwhile, fans in Northeast Ohio are on edge awaiting an announcement.
The hysteria is such that local police were called as crowds gathered outside James' Bath, Ohio home Thursday afternoon following a false report that a 3:30 announcement was planned.
Later, a picture of a car accident on the street outside the home was passed around the Twittersphere.

The Nike Skills Academy started Wednesday and runs through Saturday. James made at least a cameo appearance at every previous session, twice joining in the action.
