Larry Brown: I honestly believe Kentucky would make the NBA playoffs in the East
Sports fans often like to wonder whether the best college team in basketball and/or football could be the worst pro team in each respective sport.
Longtime NBA coach and current SMU head coach Larry Brown took things a million steps further on Wednesday when he said that this year's Kentucky team, which finished the regular NCAA season undefeated, would actually make the postseason ... in the NBA.
"I don't want to put pressure on (Wildcats coach) John (Calipari), I feel real close to him," Brown said. "I'm so proud of what he's done. I think they'd honestly make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference if they were in the NBA."
Obviously, there is no way of knowing if Brown is right or wrong. What we do know, though, is that Vegas is confident that Kentucky will take it all in this year's NCAA tournament. Via Bovada.lv, the Wildcats are -300 to make the Final Four, -150 to make the championship game and a 6/5 favorite to win the whole thing.
