Kyrie returning to Cavs; Love out
Kyrie Irving will return to the Cavaliers lineup for Friday's preseason game against the Dallas Mavericks, coach David Blatt said from shootaround.
Irving missed the previous three games with a tender right ankle, injured in practice nearly two weeks ago. He led the Cavs in scoring with 16 points in the preseason-opening win over Macabbi Tel Aviv.
Meanwhile, Cavs forwards Kevin Love and Shawn Marion will both sit out vs. the Mavericks. Love suffered a sore neck and did not play in the second half of Wednesday's game against the Indiana Pacers. But the Cavs say Love's neck is fine and, like Marion, he is merely sitting out Friday to rest.
LeBron James, Tristan Thompson and Anderson Varejao -- all of whom rested earlier this week -- are expected to play.
Tip-off for Friday's game is 7:30 p.m. at Quicken Loans Arena. You can watch all the action on SportsTime Ohio.
