Kurt Busch's team gets assist from unlikely source -- a rival

As intensely competitive as the world of big-time auto racing can be, members of the NASCAR community have a long and rich history of providing a helping hand to each other.

Such was the case on Friday at Daytona International Speedway when team members from Joe Gibbs Racing -- the sport's flagship Toyota organization -- assisted team members from Stewart-Haas Racing in repairing Kurt Busch's SHR Chevrolet that was damaged on the final lap of Thursday night's second Can-Am Duel qualifying race.

As a result of a collaborative effort between the two camps, Busch now won't have to go to a backup car for the Daytona 500, which means he'll also be able to retain his place on the Daytona 500 starting grid.
