Kraus' 15 help Bowling Green dominate Manhattan

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) -- Luke Kraus scored 15 points and Bowling Green never trailed to defeat Manhattan 70-57 on Wednesday night.

Joe Jakubowski added 11 points for the Falcons (3-9), who shot 55.2 percent from the field (16 of 29) in the first half for a 40-26 halftime lead.

A'uston Calhoun's layup gave Bowling Green a 21-9 lead with 10:08 remaining in the first half and the Falcons pushed their advantage to 38-22 on Jakubowski's fast-break layup with 1:35 remaining.

Manhattan (2-10), which has lost 10 straight games, cut the lead to 42-32 on Demetrius Jemison's two free throws with 15:38 left in the game, but Jakubowski countered with a 3-pointer.

The Falcons led by at least 10 points in the second half.

George Beamon led Manhattan with 18 points. Michael Alvarado had 11 and Jemison scored 10 points.

Bowling Green's Scott Thomas had eight points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
