Kings Weekly: Profile on longtime 'The Simpsons' writer Mike Scully airs March 16

Some days, we just love our jobs more than usual.

In the March 16 episode of 'Kings Weekly', we take you to meet Mike Scully, a longtime member of 'The Simpsons' staff, and a major hockey fan.

Scully grew up in Springfield (no joke), Mass., and spent many days attending Springfield Kings games (the original minor league affiliate of the LA Kings).






 

Scully is a current Kings season ticket holder and we treated him to a behind-the-scenes tour at a recent Los Angeles practice to also meet Pete Demers (photo below), the former Kings trainer who was with the team in Springfield.




 

Scully wrote, among others, the famous 'Lisa on Ice' episode during Season 6 in 1994.
