Kings acquire Darryl Sutter's son, Brett, from Minnesota
Hockey, for some -- like the Sutters -- is a family affair.
On Monday at the NHL trade deadline, the Los Angeles Kings acquired forward Brett Sutter, son of coach Darryl Sutter, from the Minnesota Wild in exchange for forward Scott Sabourin.
Brett Sutter is expected to be assigned to Ontario of the AHL, according to a Kings release. In 57 games this season with the Iowa Wild of the AHL, Sutter has tallied 14 points.
Along with Darryl Sutter, five of his six brothers made it into the NHL at some point during their careers.
Darryl played his entire NHL stint (1979-87) with the Chicago Blackhawks.
